Local Hard Drives you are likely to see:

C:

Local hard drive, physically located in the lab's coomputer

To be used only for the operating system and software. DO NOT SAVE ANY FILES TO A C: LOCATION. Ever.

D:

Local secondary hard drive or local hard drive partition

To used for temporary local data storage and data processing. Remove files from this location at the end of your session.

Networked drives to which you have access for data storage:

G:

Clascluster Sun T3 Server

The G drive consists of three directories:  your user directory, a share space and the classes directory.  The G drive is accessible to you from any CLAS computer where you have logged on using your CLAS username and password. Every faculty, staff and geography student with a CLAS account will have access to the G drive.

H:

CLAS Server

Your CLAS home directory.

S:

CLAS Server

Shared space that is visible to all Geography users
